Vintage Round Russian lacquer pill/ trinket fairy tale story box collectible piece. Handmade and hand painted, in fine detail. It features a beautiful fairy tale design of a horse and rider in flowy cape with a cathedral in the background.

It is signed by the artist, but it is very faded and hard to see. It is at the bottom under the land part of the painting. I was able to get the faint signature with my camera but could not see it with my naked eye.

It Measuring approximately 2” diameter. The lid is not hinged and just sits on top.

I do not know the Providence of the box, I only know that it was made in Russian.

It does have some very light scratches and scuffs in areas of the box with the bottom being the most scratched and scuffed. There is also some very small areas on the edges of the lid and bottom edge of the base of the box where some of the paint is missing and rubbed off. There is also tiny chip on the base top edge that is hidden when the top is in place and there are numerous little indentions around the top edge of the bottom part of the box.
