I found this leaf shaped basket in a trunk at my Dad's house after he passed away (non-smoking, no pets). I remember it being hung in our dining room in the 1950s when my mother had Asian themed wall paper. From googling I assume it would be called a rice basket which does fit with the theme she had. It could be used as my mother used it - to hang on a wall, or, possibly on a shelf to collect small items although it does not have a flat bottom.
The handle is laced with plastic lacing (boondoggle) and had come loose. I repaired it with a spot of hot glue. See the picture to see how the lace is glued on the back of the handle.
Measurements are approximate (see pictures taken with yardstick):
Length or Height including handle - 18" Length or height of basket - 11" Width across basket at widest part - 11" Depth - about 2" at deepest part.

Selling since November 2023
I'm a retired teacher trying to clean out my house of all the stuff accumulated from four generations of my family. My goal in life is to not leave a mess for my family to clean up after I die! I've sold on other platforms for a few years now, but after watching Joselyn's videos I decided to try NikNax. I love to see thrifting videos since I've always shopped at thrift stores, passing on that love to my daughter. I also love to see what others have to sell and have been known to buy some things that I just can't pass up, of course adding to more "stuff."
All of my items come from a smoke-free home. We have one cat that I try to keep away from things that I'm selling, especially clothing or other items that could collect cat dander.
