This vintage Norwegian Nisse doll, made by Arne Hasle, is a delightful addition to any collection. With its handmade latex rubber construction, this doll embodies the magic and whimsy of folklore creatures such as elves, gnomes, and pixies. It is dressed like Santa Claus in a red suit with fluffy white accents, hand sewn white beard and hair, red Santa hat, and black boots. Its body is soft and can be bent into shape, but it is also coveted in a soft foam. The legs, torso, and arms can all be bent to form it to sit, stand, bend its legs, etc.

The doll originates from Norway and has a unique design that captures the essence of fantasy and mythical beings. Whether you're a collector or looking for a unique Christmas decoration, this doll is sure to bring joy and wonder to your home.

Keep in mind that this is a vintage item from the 1960s, an era where smoking was common in most households. I do not know the background to this item and can not guarantee it comes from a smoke-free home due to this. I can say it has a small odor. A very light smell of a musky type odor and slight dull smoke odor. Nothing crazy or horribly noticeable. I would consider it as "as to be expected odor" for the age and era. The rubber boots are also slightly sticky. I do not know why, and I don't want to risk ruining them with cleaning agents that aren't appropriate for the latex. This being said, the item is in otherwise excellent condition. No rips, tears, or stains that I noticed. It has good form and bendability. The latex appears to be in very good condition. It's not excellent, but not dry rotted or terrible.

These are highly collectible and sought-after. The Santa one, in his all red, typical suit, is not a very common one. This is a wonderful piece to add to your holiday collection and decor!

Selling since November 2023

A workaholic mom who loves her family, her 3 beagles, Jesus, and vintage anything. Tired of the 70hr work weeks. Decided to try selling what I love buying and collecting. So far, I've done okay helping to share my amazing finds! One day, I hope to be able to devote my life fully to doing what I love the most. Slowly, but surely. I buy, sell, and collect glass, vintage decor and items, kitch, pottery, collectibles, etc. Mostly Mid-Century Modern style. I'm slightly new, making mistakes but still learning. I absolutely have fallen in love with my little store and I wish to grow it into an empire. -The Madd Thrifter Sarah
