Vtg Homer Laughlin Cavalier Eggshell Sugar Bowl, Green Magnolia, Gold Trim, 54N8

This vintage Homer Laughlin Cavalier Eggshell covered sugar bowl features their deep green Magnolia pattern. Crafted in 1967, this porcelain piece is adorned with a beautiful magnolia blossom on each side above a deep green pedestal base. The pattern includes gold trim on the bowl and the lid along with gold stenciling on the handles. The sugar bowl measures 4.8 inches in length, 4.4 inches in height, and 4.2 inches in width, with a depth of 2.5 inches. It has a capacity of 16 ounces and the piece weighs 7.9 ounces itself. Made in the United States, this original item from the Green Magnolia product line (54 N 8) brings floral charm and classic style to your collection.

The covered sugar bowl is in good used condition. There are no chips on the bowl, but a sizable chip on the edge/underside of the knob on the lid. There is also a little bit of scratching on the green section, likely from when the chip happened. (Please see close up pictures.) There are some discoloration spots on the rim of the bowl that are baked into the porcelain, so they were likely there from when it was made. The gold is in very good condition, with very minimal wear. or cracks. There is some wear on the gold circle around the middle - one little area on the backside. This would make a good purchase as a replacement piece (for the bowl) or to use as an open sugar. As is, you don't notice the chip from above (I didn't!), but you can see it from the side.
