Beautiful piece of religious ephemera. This is a 1939 Catholic Calendar with His Holiness Pope Pius XI on the cover page. The calendar is approximately 17 inches long and 9 inches wide. Each month has notations of dates important to the Catholic Faith. Calendar pages are double sided with July 1939 being on the back cover. There is a slot for hanging on the wall. Calendar sponsored by Cippa & Nicoletti Funeral Home in Sacramento, CA. Calendar was folded so it no longer lays flat and a because it was folded, there are small tears in the paper at the 2nd week of the month. Pages are adorned with beautiful artwork such as The Return of the Prodigal Son. Some of the corners are bent. Surprisingly, there is not a musty smell. I'm rolling for storage and shipment to prevent further damage. Beautiful Piece. Please see all photos.
