Vintage T.W Armstrong Glass Insulator With Original Plug

This insulator was used to protect early electric power transmission lines. In the case of this insulator it was installed along railroad tracks. Used primarily in the early half of the 1900’s. Contained inside is the original cork plug. This specific insulator was found along the Conway Scenic Railway in Intervale, NH in the early 1990’s.
