Vintage Rustic Aspen Woodburning Watercolor Painted Possien Cabin Wall Plaque

Add a touch of rustic charm to any room with this beautiful handcrafted plaque. The plaque was made in 1986 by Anne Possien in Pitkin Colorado. It is a gorgeous piece of Aspen Wood that has a charming wood burned mountain scene with watercolor painting overlay. It was finished with Tung oil and sealed with wax. Measures 15in long and 12in tall.

Tag reads as follows: "Around the turn of the century woodburning, also known as Flemish Art, was a popular creative pastime for thousands of people. My woodburnings are burnt into native Colorado Aspen wood, and tinted with water color. I apply several coats of Tung Oil, and then polish the wood with paste wax."
