Vintage Russian Lacquer Box "Frog Princess Kholui" Fairy Tail, Hand-Painted

This vintage Russian lacquer box features a beautifully hand-painted scene of the Frog Princess Kholui. The box depicts the Russian Fairy Tale "The Frog Princess" by N. Grovmov. Materials used are egg tempura paints, papier-mache and lacquer. There is Russian writing along the front edge of the box in gold with the name of the scene (Frog Princess Kholui) and the artist who made it. The box is a unique collectible piece that showcases the Russian culture and craftsmanship. The box is made in the Russian Federation and is completely handmade.
