This lovely turquoise blue and clear console/centerpiece bowl gives the impression that the exaggerated scalloped rim was created the same way the rim of a swung vase is done. It's very impressive with beautiful striations of dark blue, turquoise, teal and light blue. And is 14.5 in diameter.
This bowl is clearly in the style of the Murano art glass design that would have a sticker which reads: "Vetro Eseguito Secondo La Tecniga Dei Maestri Di Murano". However, based on the well finished rippled base and exterior, I believe this is a beautifully made decorative art glass bowl in the style of Murano and emulating this particular design. It's very unusual, and I believe it has some age. Possibly nearing antique.
