This is a vintage Imperial Glass "Stars and Files" (pattern #612) Spooner or Toothpick Holder in Blue. The original launch of this pattern was in the 1920s, but Imperial revived it in the 1950s. This piece has their logo, "IG", in the center, which indicates that it came from the 1950s (they did not typically use logos in the early years). Made in Bellaire, Ohio, the piece features their embossed stars and files pattern, along with a sawtooth rim, in a beautiful aqua blue. It has a glossy finish and is 2.4 inches in height, 3.8 inches in width, and 2.2 inches in width. I believe this is a toothpick holder, but it is in the same shape as their spooner (a dish to hold extra teaspoons). Typically, a spooner was taller, though.
The piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
