Vintage M A Hadley Pottery Duck Ashtray, Succulent Planter, Votive Holder

This fun, M A Hadley duck ashtray measures 6" long x 2 1/2" wide. A great addition to any tobacciana collection. Can also use as a planter, or a votive candle holder. No chips or cracks. No crazing. There is a spot on the cigarette holder part where glaze was missed- I have pointed it out in one of the photos. I am not clear on the time frame for production. I would guess it is one of the earlier designs as the MA Hadley signature is incised into the clay on the bottom rather than the painted signature. It is a very neat and colorful piece and a must have, plus you can put a succulent in it!!
