Handcrafted in Mexico, this vibrant angel was made by local artists from a cleaned and sanded coconut half that is built upon with clay and baked before being hand painted. The angel is hand painted with gesso and brightly colored paint that gives her a somewhat ceramic look. The painted design is stunning, the shell provides the perfect amount of texture, and her serene pose provides a sense of calm.

Great conversation piece, additional to a gallery wall, or gift for a loved one.

The angel is in good vintage condition. There are some areas where the paint and gesso have flaked away, and there is one large crack in the paint around one wing (the crack is not in the coconut or wing). The paint can be touched up or sealed if desired, it will most likely continue to chip and crack if not repaired. Please look closely at the photos provided.
