Vintage Galaxy "Space Sentry" Spaceman Glass Syrup Bottle / coin bank

A figural glass bottle shaped like an astronaut or "spaceman". The bottle is approx. 8.5" tall and would have held 16 ounces of concentrated raspberry syrup. The metal screw-on cap has a slot designed to be punched out, allowing the empty bottle to be repurposed as a coin bank. This one is still intact. The Galaxy Home Syrups line consisted of 10 different spaceman "ranks" in eight different colors, with flavors like Cherry, Raspberry, and Orange. The product was made by the Space Foods Co. of Baltimore, MD. Many of the bottles were found decades later in a Baltimore warehouse, never having been filled or distributed, making them popular "New Old Stock" collectibles of which this is one. It is in perfect condition with all painting intact.
