This is a vintage salt and pepper shaker set that rocks when you place it down! Made in Japan during the 1950s, this adorable set features to teeny tiny spotted deer. So darling! The base, or stand, has openings that allow the deer to hang down and swing just a little. The deer have long weighted bases that keep them swinging for a long time... It was hard to keep them still for their photo sessions! Condition: The deer are in Excellent shape, while their base is in Good condition. There are no chips or cracks on the little deer, though they could both use new corks, as they've started to crumble from age. The base has a chip on one of the holes for the shakers. Don't worry, they still sit and rock just fine though! There is also a spiderweb crack on the bottom of the base. It's still entirely functional, and you can't see it unless you turn it over, but it certainly is there! Size: The base measures 3" across, is 2" wide, and sits 1.75" tall. The deer measures 1.5" across, are 1.75" long, and are about 3" tall, including their long bottoms. When the deer are sat in the base and behave themselves, the whole piece measures about 3.5" tall.
