This beautiful covered bowl is a perfect addition to any collection. It is 2 3/4" in diameter and about 1 1/4" tall. The deep blue enamel background provides dramatic contrast with the delicate white flower. There is a hint of pink and a bluish green in the flower.
There is some wear on the inside brass ridge of the bowl. It may have been vertigris that left a mark. Just in case, I used a mixture of vinegar and water to eliminate any active problem. Still, there is a mark. See photos.
The lid works well and stays together more like a locket connects. The case could also hold tiny thimbles, which I believe this one held.

Hi. I love hunting for treasures and learning even more history. I am also determined to let younger viewers know that some of us baby boomers are still supportive and enjoy the younger generation of seekers and preservers. I am a retired professor, writer and single Mom. I have been selling for vintage, funny anthropomorphic figures, folk art, pottery, vintage jewelry, and whatever else catches my interest.
