This braided string of ceramic berries or grape clusters is undated, but likely from the 1970s/1980s when all things country ruled the decor world (before Miami Vice.) This whimsical decor piece is an estate piece from a family that emigrated to Canada from northern Italy in the 1950s. It probably hung in the second kitchen, where all the heavy cooking was done, like canning tomatoes, making sausage, storing vegetable in the root cellar. If you went downstairs to raid Nonna’s pantry, you’d see this hanging in the kitchen somewhere.
There are 12 clusters on the braided string, 16” long, and some show crazing and staining. Please examine the photos and keep in mind that vintage items are not new items. They are gently used and may show some signs of wear due to being loved and utilized over the years. Any major flaws or defects will always be noted in the description and documented in photos of the item.
