This antique late 1890s - early 1900s perfume bottle from Czechoslovakia features a stunning rhinestone jewel and enamel ornate lid and front decor piece, adding a touch of elegance to any collection. The bottle is handmade and carefully crafted with intricate details by Max Neiger, showcasing the artistry of Czechia or the Czech Republic. It comes with one bottle and is perfect for display as a decorative glass or crystal piece. The bottle has a unique history and is a collector's item for those interested in vintage perfume bottles. The stones are typically glass, and the green one is Malachite.
The entire item is in pristine condition for its age, meaning it was well kept and taken care of. There is age showing in the form of patina that I didn't get rid of, leaving it up to the buyers discretion. All of the jewels and stones are intact, and there is no damage to it. There are a few small surface scratches. Does have a small amount of color change to purple in natural light, meaning it is possible this is neodymium glass. It even has its original glass cut dobber.
Item is marked twice. Once on the base of the glass in the form of acid etch stating "made in Czechoslovakia," the other is in the ornate decor that is attached to the bottle, stating "Czechoslovakia". These marks date the piece to a time before it was considered the Czech Republic, meaning it could be even older than the late 1890s.
There are very, very small flea bites that are almost unnoticeable around the mouth of the opening of the bottle. This is the only damage I have noticed on this stunning piece! Every one of the stones/gems are still in place, along with most of the enameling. It is absolutely stunning that this piece has survived what it has survived. During World War II, almost all of these pieces were destroyed due to needing the metals for ammo and such. Max and his brother were more commonly known for their vases and jewelry items. They didn't make the glass to this piece, just the intricate jeweled designs and beautiful metal working on the stopper. I am not 100% sure the stopper matches the bottle, but have put months of research into this piece. It has been enjoyable and very eye opening. I have a ton of information on Max and his brother, if you would like more information.

Selling since November 2023
A workaholic mom who loves her family, her 3 beagles, Jesus, and vintage anything. Tired of the 70hr work weeks. Decided to try selling what I love buying and collecting. So far, I've done okay helping to share my amazing finds! One day, I hope to be able to devote my life fully to doing what I love the most. Slowly, but surely. I buy, sell, and collect glass, vintage decor items and kitch, pottery, collectibles, etc. Mostly Mid-Century Modern style. I'm slightly new, making mistakes but still learning. I absolutely have fallen in love with my little store and I wish to grow it into an empire. -The Madd Thrifter Sarah
