This decorative ceramic tile / slate plaque commemorates the 1979 Volkswandertag in Dorlesberg, Germany. It has a brass deer design and measures approximately 5.25". Volkswandertag is a German term that translates to "Folk Hiking Day". It is a day in German schools when students go hiking. The plaque was made by Selent.
There is what appears to be a chip on the upper right corner of the plaque. See pictures for further details on condition.
