Daruma represents perseverance and encouragement. You paint the left eye and set a goal or make a wish. When it comes true you paint in the right eye. This Daruma is made of paper mache. (It’s nose is slightly damaged.)

Maneki-Neko is a beckoning cat. You’ll find them in restaurants and shops inviting you in and is a symbol of luck for the proprietor. Maneki-Neko is made of fired bisque.
