This canister is made. The design ad the color is fantastic. Perfect size for many thing. For example: cotton balls, q-tips, tweezers, fingernail clippers, and of course candy. The dip in the lip inside the canister is not a chip it is made that way. It is also made where the lid doesn’t sit completely down  in the jar. No chips or cracks
