A very interesting carved toucan, native to tropical climates, in a soft buff coloured stone that has striations of chocolate brown throughout. This statue is very well balanced, a sign of an accomplished artist, who managed to make as large a beak as possible without enlarging the base disproportionately for balance. The underside base bears a legible signature but the artist has no digital history available. The statue is 5” high, 3.5” wide and 1.15” deep.
