up for sale is an outstanding Stanley #6 type 11. It has the 3 pat. dates behind the frog and the small adj. nut. and low knob. It has the smooth sole and it's in great shape. No cracks in the mouth. The tote and knob are in perfect shape and show their beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood with their original patina. The Jappaning was spotty on the plane so I stripped it down and re-Japanned it using Stanley's original factory recipe. This plane has the T logo which is correct for the type 11 along with the V logo.

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
