Up for sale is a really nice Stanley #6 type 7 hand plane . The plane has the 3 pat. dates on the lateral adj. lever and the S foundry marks on the bed . It has double S foundry marks on the bed. I've never saw this before look at the pictures. Maybe this is more common than I think. The frog and lever just have a period where you commonly see the S foundry mark. The smooth sole is mark free and flat. The tote and knob have no cracks or chips. The horn on the tote has been sawed off as was common back in the day. The only issue is a very small chip on the back left side. Look at the pictures. This in no way hurts the performance of the plane

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
