Up for sale is a really nice Stanley #5 type 6 Hand plane. It has the corrugated sole. It also has the 3 pat. dates on the lateral adj. nut and the Bailey Pat. info inside the brass adj. nut. The 3 Pat. dates on the lateral adj. lever and the Bailey info inside the adj. nut are both super sharp. The plane has the Q logo on the blade iron. The horn has been sawed off the tote to better access the lateral adj. lever. You see this a lot on these older planes. The only issue with the plane is the thumb tab is off the end of the lateral adj. lever. Look at the pictures for best description

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
