Details

If you are interested in the history of newspaper comic strips, this is a must read. It’s an absolutely wonderful book full of information about the history of comics from the Yellow Kid to Peanuts. Please note, considering this is a Snoopy group, there is only one page of Peanuts comics because Peanuts is classified as a newer comic in this book. This is a book for someone who wants to learn more about what comics Charles Schulz read as a kid and see the bigger picture of where Peanuts fits into the wonderful world of newspaper comic strips.

It is a large hardcover book measuring approximately 14.5 x 10.25 inches. Originally published in 1977, with this being the seventh printing from 1988. Some of the pages are full color Sunday strips, and some are classic black and white dailies. Has some wear and discoloration on the cover as seen in the photos. Otherwise it is in very good condition. This is one of my favorite non-Peanuts books in my collection. Only selling because I have upgraded to one with a dust jacket. This would be a great addition to any collection or just to read for fun.

Hi, I’m Melissa. I’ve been collecting Peanuts for the last 10-15 years. More recently, I’ve started adding other retro items to my collection as well. In this pursuit, I have accumulated too many items so am offering some for sale, mostly here on District.
