Details
This item is an antique wooden butter mold, commonly used in the 19th century to shape and decorate butter. Used to mark butter with a unique design before it cooled and hardened. Constructed from wood, often cherry, maple, or poplar. Features a hand-carved stamp on a plunger to imprint a floral pattern. The mold was typically soaked in ice water before use to prevent the butter from sticking. Stands 5” with natural aged patina and wear.
