Why is it Ugly? Early 2000s MamaJunque gathered yarn from her mom, sister & her stash and made the original ugly blanket. I was the lucky recipient. The blanket is amazing! It’s warm & heavy & washes easily & is sturdy. We have used it inside & outside. It is ugly because I declared it is 😆. Remeber, ugly doesn’t equate to undesirable, it’s just not a look I would choose. The mix & variety of colors is unplanned. Going forward I started collecting anyone’s unused yarn and making more blankets. I got yarn at garage sales, thrifts & took in donations. Typically I make these with someone in mind and give them away. So all my kids, grand-dog, & mom have one. The blanket up for sale today is the result of anxiety & adhd impulsiveness. I just had to crochet. I found it difficult to focus on other daily activities and this felt productive. So, here is the NikNax Raid Train for Weirdos Ugly Blanket. 😍
