RARE MICHIGAN CONDENSED MILK COMPANY13.25" by 10" large platter. The Michigan Condensed Milk Company was located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It was owned by Borden Dairy which operated a Creamery from 1908-1960. This platter is made from white China and bears the “Waldorf Mercer Transfer Ware Pattern” (found in the famous hotel’s restaurants) which is dark green, gold and white decorative trim. The Condition is excellent .It does have an imperfection in the china which I believe is original from the time when it was made and fired. Also some tiny marks that look like the trim. All which makes me think this is old, not long after the factory opened in 1908 but - it could be as late as 1960 when the company closed. It is very rare and really a lovely piece!

I recently retired from my life as a Professor of Pharmacy (hence Drugmama) and realized I must reinvent myself. Since becoming an astonaut was off the table, I decided to embrace what I love…all things Vintage! I love collecting the items from our past. Whether they be shiny and ornate or sleek and utilitarian, they bring me joy. I hope you share in this passion and support me in this new chapter of my life.
