Rare set of two antique EAPG thumbprint water glasses from the 1800s, made of pressed uranium glass that glows under UV light. These clear glasses have a decorative thumbprint pattern and are part of the stemware category. The production style is pressed glass, and they showcase unique features such as being UV reactive and changing color in the light. These vintage pieces are a collectible find for those interested in unique and historical drinkware items.
Excellent antique condition with no visible cracks or chips.
Please keep in mind that UV lamps vary in quality, brightness and wavelength, so not all manganese and uranium glass fluoresces under all UV lights, especially tube lights, which tend to be quite dim. My UV flashlight is 365nm and is ideal for Uranium glass (unlike a 395nm UV light). The vibrancy of any manganese or uranium fluorescence is determined by the type of UV light you use.
