A charming postWWII collectible (1945–1952) featuring a squirrel sitting upright and clutching a large orange acorn. Handpainted with a rich brown and black glazed "fur" pattern and expressive dark eyes. The base is clearly marked with the circular "Occupied Japan" backstamp, a significant mark for historical ceramic collectors. In excellent  condition with a glossy finish and no chips or cracks.
