Neodymium glass is a special glass containing neodymium oxide, a rare earth element, famous for its striking color-changing effect (dichroism) that shifts from lilac/pink in natural light to blue/smoky under fluorescent light, similar to Alexandrite. Developed by Moser in the 1920s, it's prized for its unique twilight-like hues. No chips or cracks. There are some small bubbles present in the glass. Unsigned.

Welcome to Powell House Vintage! I’ve always loved exploring & digging through thrift stores and eclectic antique malls, so I've decided to get in on the fun and share my treasures with you!
Here are a few things about me: 🛼 I've been playing roller derby for 10 years 🎨 I went to art school and my day job is graphic design 🤓 I love learning about history, the history of things, and art history especially 🐶 I'm obsessed with my dog Kevin! I love finding animal themed items, not just dogs, but all manner of creatures and I especially love it when they are whimsical and have fun expressions.
