This is a glass mug with applied stained glass effect on the outer side. It looks leaded but I am far from an expert. Please refer to the photos. This certainly looks handmade. I am unable to tell if it was manufactured this way. I could not find any like it online. This piece is heavy and it held hot liquid fine. I did not test it in a microwave or dishwasher. It seems to warrant hand washing. I picked it up due to its beautiful coloring and uniqueness. Please refer to the photos for exact condition. The name Beetle's Rucksack is a shout out to the old cartoon Beetle Bailey. A favorite of mine and unfortunately gives you a great idea of my age. I believe in leaving the item in the condition I have found them since 'The stories are in the schmutz' and patina. I hope I have an item that brings back fond memories for you or a loved one. Please remember that glass should be left in the box to acclimate to your climate before the box is opened. Extreme temp changes can cause items to break.
