Moorcroft Hand-Painted Floral Dish

This is a 9.25" oval dish hand-decorated with a floral pattern, featuring stylized blossoms in rich tones with a background in a deep green. The base is stamped with Moorcroft and Made in England, and also bears a paper sticker that reads By Appointment - Moorcroft - Potters to the Late Queen Mary. This specific label dates the piece to the period when Walter Moorcroft was in charge, between 1946 and 1978. The floral design is a popular theme in Moorcroft's work, and the rich color palette is typical of their artistry. The piece is in excellent condition with crazing showing only on the bottom consistent with its age, otherwise no chips or cracks.
