Lillemor Mannerheim (1927-1994) is one of the well-known representatives of the illustrious Nordic ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers for Rörstrand and Arabia in the 1950s-1980s. In the 1980s, Lillemor returned to her home country of Finland to work for the Arabia Porcelain Factory. There, she designed a much-loved animal series, with all profits going to the WWF. Lillemor's WWF animals were part of the "De hotade" (The Threatened) together with a polar bear by Richard Lindh. The figurines were made of stoneware with rounded shapes and stylized decors.
