The beautiful piece was created in Italy during the 1960s-1970s. It is hand painted in a floral design using a riot of stunning colors in a style that was popular in Italy during that time: yellow, green, and red on a white background. This tureen really is a work of art - not only in its colorway and design - take a look at the fine ceramic work in the tail feathers and the exquisite hand painting (note how the pattern lines up from lid to base). Measurements: Both pieces as a whole - 11" long, 10 1/2" tall, 7" at widest point/ Oval base only - 2 7/8 deep, 5" at narrowest point, 7" at widest point, 10 1/4" long. Like New Condition: no signs of use, no chips, cracks or crazing.
