Details
A rare, hand-shaped treasure from the golden age of American Carnival Glass.
This antique Dugan "Wreath of Roses" dish is a stunning example of the "whimsey" tradition. Produced in Indiana, PA, around 1910, this piece was hand-pulled into a unique tri-corner shape while the glass was still molten. The Marigold iridescence is vibrant, casting a fiery, metallic glow that shifts with the light.
Why it’s a collector’s essential: Unlike standard bowls, this tri-cornered form is highly versatile. While designed as a candy dish, its deep folds make it an exquisite small vase, a unique candle holder, or a sophisticated trinket dish for a vanity.
Details & Condition: • Manufacturer: Dugan Glass Company (Indiana, PA) • Pattern: Wreath of Roses (c. 1910) • Dimensions: 3.75" Tall x 5.5" Diameter (9oz) • Condition: Outstanding antique condition. No chips, cracks, or scratches. Features a single authentic straw mark on the base and characteristic manufacturing roughness at the folds—both hallmarks of genuine early 20th-century pressed glass.
Ideal for: • Carnival Glass enthusiasts and Dugan collectors • Victorian or Art Nouveau home decor • A unique "something old" wedding gift • Use as a luxury ring dish or small floral vessel
IMPORTANT NOTE: At Darling Della Vintage, we believe every scratch and bit of patina tells a story. Our pieces are 30+ years old and have lived full lives, so gentle wear, tiny chips, or age-worn charm are part of their soul — not flaws. We photograph and describe each item carefully, but please expect natural signs of age. Embracing vintage means embracing history — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
