This listing is for 3 skeins of hand spun Jacob Sheep wool yarn in natural creamy white. I use a Kromski treadle traveler spinning wheel to spin my yarns.
This yarn started as dirty fleece and has been scoured, sorted, picked, carded, handspun, and plyed by myself. It is quite a project if you've never experienced it!!
Wool type - Jacob Sheep
Weight - medium weight/bulky
8oz
Skeins are 182 total yards.
This yarn would be great for outerwear.
Twist is hot water bath set
'Sheep to Shawl' project
Please note: Hand spun yarns, unlike commercial spun yarns, can fluctuate in thicknesses. Be assured I always do my best to keep the thicknesses as even as possible.
Because this is directly from the sheep there maybe a tiny bit of VM (veggi matter) that I may have missed in the process. This is natural and proves it's from a real sheep!
Hand wash without scrubbing, gentle detergent and cold water. Lay flat to dry. Be gentle or fibers will felt.

Hello! I am Jena and I am the proprietor of The Green Dragonfly. I hand spin yarn, collect vintage and antiques, and play Celtic traditional music on the concertina! I came over from Etsy just a short time ago where I sewed ladies bodices of natural fibers such as silk and linen for about 20 years. I retired from doing that and now spend time hunting down vintage and antique treasures with my Mom and friends.
