Very nice Japanese plane, dual layer forge welded steel blade designed to plane all the way into an inside corner. I was amazed to see these planes for sale on Amazon for literally over $100! This is a used plane in great condition; I gave it a ~2 minute sharpening including hone, spent about maybe 30 seconds setting it up again, and pulled the nice shavings seen in the pictures (and have the bald spot on my otherwise hairy arm to prove it!). I'm sure with a bit more time and effort, one could get much finer shavings and do absolutely amazing work. Being able to share these amazing tools with folks who might not otherwise have the chance to admire and USE them is quite the pleasure; if you pick it up, feel free to send me pictures of some of the projects you've used it on!
