No two pieces of slag glass are identical — and this one is a showstopper.
Imperial Glass produced their caramel slag line from the early 1950s through the early 1970s, and this footed handled basket is one of the most sought-after forms they made. The swirling caramel, chocolate brown, and cream glass was created by blending opaque milk glass with colored glass during pressing — a process that guarantees every piece is unrepeatable. This example has a particularly rich, deep swirl pattern. The chevron-paneled exterior and smooth interior bowl are classic Imperial workmanship; the separately applied white milk glass handle, finished with a small daisy detail at each attachment point, elevates it from decorative to heirloom.
Display it filled with dried botanicals, small trinkets, or simply on its own — the glass does the work.
