This very unusual necklace was a 1960s thrift store purchase by one of my sisters during her boho/hippie phase! I always thought of it as a Gypsy piece, a romantic exotic notion... The leather pieces are cured and dried and shaped to be slightly concave. Each has a large rose in deep red, with green leaves surrounding. The medallions are joined by a fine copper chain with 2 medallions hanging in a central drop. The chain has not been cleaned because of my concern for damaging the leather pieces. This delicate necklace will fit to 18". The centre medallions hang an additional 2.5", and each medallion is just over 1" in diameter.
