Gibsons Staffordshire Pottery Tea Pot

$15.00

Details

Made between 1940-1950 this beautiful tea pot has a press stamp on the bottom, verifying its time of production. This marking was only used while production took place in Burslem, England. Gibsons Pottery silver luster and moss-green over dark brown earthenware bodies with the green sections decorated with Jasperware-style classical mythological designs.

Unfortunately this tea pot has a chip on the inside edge of the lid and a small wear spot in the silver on the lids knob. (See pictures).

Despite these flaws it is still a beautiful piece of history and home decor. It has been priced to reflect these flaws but offers are welcome.

Teapot measures approximately 4 1/2" high (to top of finial on lid), 8 1/4" wide (spout to handle) with base measuring 3 1/2" in diameter. Weighs 1.6 pounds.
