Fostoria Glass Jenny Lind White Glass Cameo Decanter w Stopper & 2 Drinking Cup Tumblers Anniversary Edition 1950s - USA

$78.00

Details

Vintage 1950s Jenny Lind white glass decanter & matching drinking cups featuring her profile in a cameo like design by Fostoria Glass. Fostoria is known for being high quality glass. Jenny Lind was a famous Swedish singer in the 1800s and the set was made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of her American tour in the 1850s. These are frequently described as milk glass but the pieces are white glass and translucent, not opaque milk glass. The drinking glasses are rarer than the decanter. This could be very dramatic paired with any color for many holidays.

Approx size: Decanter - 11″ h x 5.25″ w x 4" d Glasses - 3" w at rim x 4.5" h

Condition: No defects in the cups other than they could use a little more cleaning. The decanter has a small flake in the collar (see photos) which is quite smooth making me think it happened a long time ago. There are some dark spots here and there on the decanter which are inclusions from the manufacturing process and part of how it was made.

Shipping: I have switched all my listings to USPS ground advantage insured to save you $$, if you need priority/express please message me prior to purchase.

A Thing of Beauty Vintage Finds

    Selling since November 2023

Hi, I'm Cynthia. I am a shop owner on multiple platforms with 20+ years of experience. I do everything within my power, including packing with great care and shipping fully insured, to get your "thing of beauty" to you safely. I have recently moved to the mountains of eastern Tennessee where I find my treasures and offer them to you, the beholder. I hope you will find your "thing of beauty" here.

I was raised in a home where bone china, silver and fine crystal were both used and appreciated. This translated into a love of antiques and handmade items of similar quality. I love the journey that leads me to these beautiful things and I hope you will enjoy my "finds" as much as I have enjoyed finding them.

Please feel free to reach out to me via text or email with any questions you may have. I am frequently hiking on the weekends so your best chance of a speedy response will be during weekday business hours.

Follow me on FB and Instagram where I share additional information on the creation/history of my items.

Helping you find your thing of beauty, Cynthia
