Lovely Fenton Blue Carnival Glass bowl, showcasing the Ribbon Tie (Comet)” pattern. Dating to circa 1911, this piece reflects the expressive experimentation of early American glassmakers, blending artistry and affordability in the spirited rise of carnival glass.
The bowl spans approximately 9" with a sculptural 3-in-1 ruffle edge, cobalt blue base and luminous iridescent finish. The dynamic swirl motif of the Ribbon Tie / Comet pattern echoes cosmic motion, an imaginative nod to the fascination with astronomy and Victorian exuberance.
Produced in the first decades of the 20th century, this bowl likely hails from Fenton’s earliest mold runs. Authenticity evidenced by crisp mold detail, rich iridescence, and characteristic tool impressions, distinguishing it from modern reproductions.
Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Ideal for collectors who appreciate the legacy of pressed glass techniques and the radiant storytelling behind each shimmering piece.

With a background as an artist and a love for rescuing homeless items I find great satisfaction in re-homing beautiful things. My hobby is hunting down these items from estates, moving sales, thrift shops and the like and my job is getting them to you. All items are cleaned, inspected and tested (if warranted) then carefully packed for shipment to their new home.
