Details

This is a beautiful, elegant very classic silver plate and glass dish, which is as versatile as it is lovely to see. Marlboro Plate was manufactured under the company name Morton Parker, in Canada, between 1946 and 1988.

This bowl though has been exceptionally well maintained over the years, and needed only light polishing. The base is marked EP on Copper, which makes one of the most valuable base metals for silver plating, and gives the piece added weight and solidity. It is 6.75” in diameter, and 2.75” high. The cobalt blue glass insert is in excellent condition, with no chips or flea bites or scratches. The bowl appears to have been rarely used.

Do not put in the dishwasher - hand wash only, and dry thoroughly. I do not use paste polish, as the rubbing eventually wears away the plate. Tarnex is a liquid tarnish remover that is easy to use, and works remarkably well.

Please keep in mind that vintage items are not new items. They are gently used and may show some signs of wear due to being loved and utilized over the years. Any major flaws or defects will always be noted in the description and documented in photos of the item,
