From fine Italian ceramic maker Ceramiche Artistiche Luccheshi (CAL Lucca) located in Lucca, Tuscany, here is an exceptional hand made and hand painted Florentine style oval bowl on a short pedestal base.

Elaborately decorated with gilt and hand applied spaghetti, the vase stands 10.5” wide, 5.75” high, and 3.25” deep. Ornate, rococo and Baroque references are featured in the long artistic history of ceramic manufacturing in the area around Florence since Medieval times due to the high quality of clay. This is a classic shortened urn shape with double handles, focal point of applied red paste jewel as a medallion. No chips cracks or crazing, it is in truly remarkable vintage condition. Manufacturing stamp on base and export sticker in English. This is from the estate of an Italian immigrant family in Southern Ontario, and I have many other items from this same estate in my shop.
