This wide-band, irregular-edge, hammered sterling silver ring is handmade and comes to us from the 1990s. The band is almost 3/4" wide and the hammered design adds visual interest, texture, and added sparkle to this vintage piece. It is simply marked 925 (for sterling silver) on the interior of the band. This ring can be called "brutalist" in its design although, to me, it falls more comfortably into the "boho" or "hippie" category. A substantial ring, it weighs 13.15 grams. A note about sizing: wide band rings do not slide on and off the finger as easily as narrow band rings do. It might slide on your finger easily but could then be more difficult to get off. If you already are used to wearing wide-band rings, you know what I mean, and you know your size. But if you've never worn one before, keep in mind that this ring, although measuring up as an 8 1/2, might fit too snugly on a typically 8 1/2 size finger.
