Welcome to Curious Effie!

I have always loved all things antique and vintage, particularly jewelry, purses, glass and ceramics.

When the pandemic hit and everyone was sent indoors, I took the opportunity to create Curious Effie. Named after my ever-inquisitive daughter, I wanted to not only share some of my amazing finds and treasures, but also share a little bit of their story with you!

The history of an object has always fascinated me; where has it come from? who has it met along the way? I love interacting with my buyers and sometimes they share stories with me about why they are purchasing an item and the nostalgia attached to it.

The extra income for my family is a bonus but my real passion is researching unique objects and giving them another chance at life. I believe that we are merely custodians of these awesome treasures :)
