Details
This is a vintage pressed glass pedestal perfume bottle in pink, dating to the 1940s and styled in the Art Deco tradition. Standing 10 inches tall with its large petal shaped stopper, and approx. 3.5" wide the bottle features a scalloped base and heart-shaped side panels accented by paired starburst motifs. Both the stopper and inner neck are ground, indicating a higher-quality finish typical of mid-century vanity glass. The piece is mold-blown, not hand-blown, and shows faint seams consistent with its production method.
While unmarked, the design and construction suggest possible origins in Czechoslovakia, known for its export of decorative vanity glass during the interwar period. It may also be associated with Irice (Irving W. Rice & Co.), a New York-based importer that sourced perfume bottles from Czech and Japanese makers before and after World War II, and later commissioned similar styles from American companies like Imperial Glass. The romantic motif and pedestal form also echo styles produced by U.S. firms such as New Martinsville or Fostoria, which blended pressed glass techniques with elegant finishing.
This piece is in very good pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, or damage. Slight roughness on inside edge rim). A sculptural and charming addition to any vanity or Art Deco collection, it offers both decorative appeal and historical intrigue. Please refer to the photos for confirmation of condition and design detail.

Selling since January 2024
With a background as an artist and a love for rescuing homeless items I find great satisfaction in re-homing beautiful things. My hobby is hunting down these items from estates, moving sales, thrift shops and the like and my job is getting them to you. All items are cleaned, inspected and tested (if warranted) then carefully packed for shipment to their new home.
