1 1/8”x1 5/8”. Antique Victorian brooch dating to approximately the late 1800’s. Features a large faceted emerald-green glass paste stone set in an ornate gold-tone wirework and rope-twist frame. The stone shows age-appropriate surface wear and an internal bubble or ash fleck, consistent with antique glass paste jewelry. Original C-clasp closure with long pin, typical of 19th-century construction. *NOTE pin doesn’t stay in c-clasp, needs to be re-worked. Unmarked. A striking and substantial piece with beautiful hand-worked details, allowing the large stone to be the focal point of the piece. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the description.
