Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges France Sugar Bowl, 1903, Schleiger 636/Richmond

This sugar bowl is in almost new condition and is beautiful. It is about 5" in diameter and 2.5" high.

While researching this piece, I noticed that there were difference colorations of this pattern and I wanted to confirm that this was the correct pattern. Many of the pieces I had found were cream in color where this was more white.

After speaking to an expert at HCIF I was told that "the cream background between the edge of pieces and the black line can vary in shading – some rather dark while others may be quite light. It was difficult in that era to regulate the cream color." They also said that "Quality control was harder to come by in the early 20th century. Kiln temperatures were very difficult to regulate in those days and it was up to a skilled craftsman rather than technology."

Please see the photos for is characteristics. There are no chips or cracks - the last photo, shows 2 rough spots on the China which looks like its from the manufacturing process.
